iConfiDent
is a secure, web-based program for shared communication and
collaboration among clinicians, labs and manufacturers working together
on dental cases, particularly implants.
iConfiDent adds value to all professional constituents involved in
dental implants and other complex dental procedures. Whether you are a
dentist, lab, specialist or manufacturer rep assisting with a case,
using iConfiDent will help improve coordination, efficiency and
informed decision-making to improve patient care.
It only takes a few minutes to get started. Create an account by clicking on the “Free 30 day trial” button at the right side of this web page. Fill out your account information, then log in with your username and password. You can now add new patient cases and invite other users to join your myTeam network.
iConfiDent offers convenient training sessions conducted via WebEx web conferencing with one of our trainers. The training course lasts 30 minutes, the first 20 minutes covers the basics of getting up and running on iConfiDent, the second part covers more advanced topics. Go to the “seminars and online training” tab at the top of the page and register for a training course slot that fits your schedule by selecting “register” next to the time you want. You will get an email with details on how to join the online training.
Yes. iConfiDent enables you to create a paperless case file system of
notes, images and attachments and the ability to securely share the
case with other selected professionals.
No. Orders
must still be placed by the clinician with the manufacturer. iConfiDent
allows you to easily and effectively create orders for implant
materials that are ready to pass on to your preferred manufacturer or
distributor. You can share the manufacturer rep on a case, or print/fax
or email an order form created in iConfiDent.
We actively
work with the leading manufacturers to add their product information to
our database for easy parts selection using our Implant Wizard
functionality. We will continually expand our database for new
manufacturers, update new product lines, and add additional dental
materials over time.
No. Since
iConfiDent is a
web-based application the software gets deployed via our servers. There
is no need to download the software.
Yes. At
any point in the procedure you can create a new case. For example, if the patient is "ready for
restoration" you can create the case and begin adding notes, images,
and create the order for the restorative parts.
iConfiDent
utilizes some of the most advanced technology for Internet security
available today. When you access our site, Secure Socket Layer (SSL)
technology protects your information using both server authentication
and 128-bit data encryption. This ensures that your data is safe,
secure, and available only to you and those professionals that you
share cases with. Session time-outs and strong username and password
authentication protocols per HIPAA standards add protection at the
workstation level.
iConfiDent partners with one of the top data center providers in the
United States to provide unparalleled data security and availability.
Our partner also serves banks, hospitals and other institutions that
require the highest levels of security, data backup and availability.
Our data servers have 24 hour surveillance with technicians to ensure high availability.
No. The
iConfiDent application is accessed entirely via the Internet. All you
need is an Internet connection and a web browser like Explorer,
Firefox or Safari. You do not need to download any special software to your
computer. (NOTE: you may need to upgrade your browser to a more recent version).
There’s
no need to wait for a CD-ROM to arrive and install. All new releases
and updates are deployed by us automatically approximately every 6-8 weeks. All you
do is log in and you’ll see the new features.
Other
users will only see the data on cases that you choose to share with
them. They will not see any other cases.
iConfiDent
has a feature called “myTeam™” that lets
you invite other professionals to join your network, and share cases with each other.You can also easily invite other professionals who aren’t currently using iConfiDent from “myTeam” and share cases with them. They get an email notification with a link that lets them create a free account and they can see the cases you shared with them when they log in.
Everyone shared on a case using iConfiDent’s myTeam functionality must be an active iConfiDent user. This is for security and patient confidentiality purposes.
No. There
are no additional or hidden costs.
No. You can quit at any time. There are no penalties or early
termination fees other than the payment for the current month that you
quit, or the pro-rated amount of your annual contract.
Yes. All users need to pay a license fee. When you create an account,
you can add users associated with each other under the organization,
allowing you to set rules for accessing each other’s cases to
cover for each other or provide a management overview.
